Allegheny College Athletics

William Hartz was a part of the Allegheny track and field team.  Hartz still holds school records in the 110-meter high hurdles and the 400-meter intermediate hurdles and set a PAC record in the latter event (52.7) that still stands.  A four-time PAC 400-meter intermediate hurdle champion and a three-time 110-meter high hurdle champion, Hartz was the PAC MVP in 1978 and 1979.  He was a two-time All-American, once in the high hurdles (1978) and once in the intermediate hurdles (1979), and a four-time national championship qualifier.
