A four-year letterwinner as a defensive back at Allegheny, Tony Bifulco was named a Football Gazette third team All-American in 1989 after recording 55 tackles and four interceptions as a sophomore and first-team All-Conference selection. In 1990, Bifulco and the Gators posted the top season in Allegheny history with a 13-0-1 record and a Division III National Championship. Along with the highest of possible team accolades, Bifulco was once again named to the Football Gazette All-America team in addition to first-team honors from the conference. Then in 1991, Bifulco turned in the best of his four seasons in “the Swamp”, recording career-highs with 73 tackles and five interceptions on his way to first-team All-American honors from the Football Gazette and Champion. In addition, he was named to the Associated Press All-American Third-Team.

For his career, Bifulco was a part of two Division III playoff teams that reeled off 24 wins in 26 games and posted a 14-0 mark in NCAC action. He lettered in each of his four seasons at Allegheny and was a part of three NCAC Championship teams. To this day, Bifulco’s 14 career interceptions ranks second on the all-time Allegheny list. He is also a member of the NCAC All-First Decade Team.
