John Rogeri ’81 established himself as one of the top baseball players in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) during his time at Allegheny.
A four-year starter behind the plate for the Gators and team captain as a senior, Rogeri was selected to the All-PAC First Team in his final three seasons of 1979, 1980 and 1981. As a sophomore in 1979, Rogeri batted .422, including a blistering, league-leading .500 in PAC play.
Over his career, Allegheny won 42 games, and Rogeri batted .314, with five doubles, 33 walks, 26 RBIs and a .935 fielding percentage. In conference action, his numbers increased to .407 average and a .909 on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS).
