Allegheny College Athletics

Robert Del Greco was one of the premier point guards in Allegheny men’s basketball

history.  By the time of his graduation in 1976, he had set school records for assists in a game, season, and career.  He still ranks sixth in career assists, with 336.  As a junior, he led the Gators to their first Presidents’ Athletic Conference championship and the first NCAA Division III Tournament berth in school history.  He was a GTE Academic All-American, and earned an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, one of only three given to Division III players in 1976.
