Allegheny College Athletics

Eddie Taylor earned All-NCAC honors in both football and baseball and was Allegheny’s 1986-87 Male Athlete of the Year.  In football, he ranks ninth in school history in rushing yards with 1,866.  He accumulated 2,941 career all-purpose yards, and still holds the Gator records for kickoff return yards in a season and a career.  On the diamond, he played outfield and helped the Gators to their first ever NCAA Tournament berth in 1985.  For his career, he batted .338, stole 41 bases, and belted 15 home runs.
