Allegheny College Athletics

Baker was a four-year letterman in both baseball and basketball and as a one-year letterman in football.  Baker was captain (as a sophomore) of the 1908 Gator basketball team that went undefeated.  He was also captain of the Gator hoopsters during his senior year.  Baker was also the coach of the team from 1922-32.

During his career as a coach, Baker’s teams from 1923-32 won 93 games and lost 69.  During his regime, Allegheny stayed close to the top of Tri-State Basketball.
