Kyle Adamson, a three-year letter winner at Allegheny, had the most efficient season for a quarterback in both school and North Coast Athletic Conference history. In 1996, he set a conference record for passing efficiency with a 176.1 rating and earned All-American Third Team and All-NCAC First Team honors. Adamson was also named to the All-NCAC First Team in 1997 while, in 1995, he set a conference mark for completion percentage (67.9 percent) and was selected to the All-NCAC Second Team.   

Adamson is currently the Gators’ all-time leader in completion percentage as he connected with 63.8 percent of receivers. He is also second all-time in yards passing (5,515) and touchdowns (48) and third in completions (389) and total offensive yards (5,924). During his four years at Allegheny, the Gators were 38-5 (28-4 in the years that he lettered) and won three NCAC championships. 

At the beginning of the recent 2008 football season, Adamson’s passing career was ranked as the 18th-most efficient campaign in NCAA Division III history. He finished with a pass efficiency rating of 160.0.


Adamson appears frequently among the Allegheny single-season passing records. In 1996, he passed for 1,761 yards (sixth all-time), 18 touchdowns (fourth), and a 65.4 completion percentage (third). In 1995, he compiled 2,039 passing yards (fifth), 2,101 total offense yards (fourth), 17 touchdowns (tied-fifth) and 142 completions (tied-seventh).


Adamson is also fourth in Allegheny for most passing yards in one game. He had 358 against Mount Union on November 23, 1996.
