Quarterback Jeff Filkovski, NCAA Division III's top-rated passer, threw one touchdown and ran for another as the Gators won their ninth straight. Filkovski (11-of-20 for 108 yards surpassed John Logue's 1987 Gator record for passing yards in a season. Logue threw for 1,592; Filkovski finished the regular season with 1,604 yards. The Gators also established a team record for points in a season (340), breaking the old mark set in 1913. Rochester's Carmen Malatino gained 134 yards on 40 carries and became the Yellowjackets' single-season (1,033 yards) and career (2,332 yards) rushing leader. Allegheny linebacker Wayne Mack made a game-high 17 tackles.
