Allegheny 51, Duquesne 0
November 3, 1990, Meadville, Pa.
After clinching the NCAC title with an emotional 14-10 win over Ohio Wesleyan, Head Coach Ken O'Keefe warned the Gators not to let up against the visiting Dukes. Not to worry, coach. Allegheny trounced Duquesne 51-0 in its last regular season home game. After AC went 60 yards in nine plays to score on its first possession, capped by a 1-yard plunge by Jerry O'Brien (his tenth TD of the season), the Gators never looked back. Tailback Stanley Drayton, who rushed for 110 yards on nine attempts, added two TDs (including a 69-yard jaunt down the left sideline with 1:19 left in the third quarter). The Gators wound up with 488 total yards. On the flip slide, Allegheny's defense picked off four passes, establishing an NCAC season record (22), while registering its third shutout of the season. The win pushed Allegheny's record to 8-0-1.
