Senior safety Dale Shaw's 27-yard interception return for a touchdown with 2:12 remaining sealed Allegheny's sixth consecutive win. Jerry O'Brien (124 yards on 15 rushes, two touchdowns) opened the scoring with a 21-yard burst with 10:35 left in the first quarter. O'Brien, who topped the 100-yard mark for the third time in 1990, was named NCAC Player of the Week. The victory marked Allegheny's eighth straight win when a Gator had rushed for 100 yards. The Gator defense, meanwhile, held Kenyon to eight yards rushing. Sophomore linebacker Wayne Mack led AC with 16 tackles, the sixth time in 1990 he led the team in total hits. Shaw's interception was Allegheny's 18th pick of the season.
