Denison's Single Wing vs. Allegheny's Run and Shoot. A battle between past and future football became a rout of epic proportion as Allegheny held previously unbeaten Denison to 130 yards total rushing, half its average. After the Big Red managed a first-quarter touchdown (Reid Lederer intercepted Allegheny's Jeff Filkovski at the Allegheny 18-yard line, leading to a 1-yard Scott Spicer plunge), the Gator defense took over, holding Denison to a meaningless touchdown with nine seconds left in the game. Meanwhile, the Gators pounded out 402 total yards as Head Coach Ken O'Keefe mixed the Run (tailbacks Jerry O'Brien -- 103 yards and two TDs -- and Stanley Drayton -- 97 yards on 11 carries) and the Shoot (Jeff Filkovski -- 10 passes for 114 yards and two TDs).
