COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Allegheny College second-year goalie
Rowan O'Toole (Glen Burnie, Md./Archbishop Spalding) earned national spotlight on Thursday with a spot on the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Watchlist.
This year's NFHCA Division III Watchlist included 175 players from 84 institutions. Nominated student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding abilities within the last two years, including all-Conference, all-Region, or all-america honors.Â
O'Toole was one of the top goalies in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) during her debut campaign. The 2024 NCAC Newcomer of the Year, she was named to the All-NCAC First Team after setting a program record with 179 saves while playing all 1,052 minutes in the cage. O'Toole posted shutouts in 1-0 victories over Washington and Jefferson College, Transylvania University, and Oberlin College. She made a season-high 20 saves against Rhodes College, one of nine performances with double-digit saves.
The Gators kick off the 2025 season on Friday, August 29, with a road trip to SUNY Brockport at 4 p.m.
