MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's track and field and cross country teams placed five student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for their performance in and out of the classroom.
Angelee Bawek (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills),
Chloe Bonson (Penn Township, Pa./Penn-Trafford),
Marrin Crist (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area),
Corinne Inkley (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central) and
Nelly Stafford (Middletown, Md./Middletown) earned the honor.
For Stafford, this marks her third straight year earning the award while Crist earned it for a second straight. For Bawek, this marks her second All-District award of the year after also gaining the honor in volleyball.
The award requires a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 as at least a sophomore. For Cross Country, individuals must have had a top-50 performance at the NCAA Regionals. For track & field, individuals are required to have a top-50 individual regional ranking in a single event.
Academic All-District winners advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in July.
