MEADVILLE, Pa. -- For the first time since 2013, the Allegheny College women's cross country team hosted a conference championship, as the Gators and Robertson Athletic Complex welcomed runners from across the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) for the 2025 PAC Championships on Saturday.

Although clouds covered most of the sky during the women's race and precipitation from earlier in the week made parts of the course slick, the weather was much better than at the 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championship, which the Gators hosted 12 years ago.

On their home six-kilometer course, the Gators finished this year's title meet in fifth with 141 points. All five scoring runners placed inside the top 40, which helped Allegheny edge sixth-place Grove City College by seven points.

Two teams shared this year's championship, as Geneva College and Washington and Jefferson College tied with 59 points. Per the conference bylaws, the tie was not broken, and the Golden Tornadoes and Presidents were named co-champs. Geneva senior Carmen Medvit earned the individual crown with a winning time of 22:32.4.

A two-time All-PAC Honorable Mention, junior Shyann Rulander (Warren, Pa./Warren) broke into the All-PAC Second Team this year by placing 12th out of 116 finishers. Rulander clocked in at 24:54.4, her second-best 6K time of the season.

Not much distance separated the remainder of Allegheny's top five. First-year Gabriella Palmer  (Ligonier, Pa./Ligonier Valley) finished in 27th place, just three spots ahead of junior Samantha Oakes (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads). Sophomore Anne Weis (Granville, Ohio/Granville) and first-year Lilly Larkin (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) were also three places apart in 35th and 38th, respectively.
