CANFIELD, Ohio -- The Allegheny College women's cross country squad previewed the site of this year's Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) championships at the Youngstown State University Collegiate Invitational.

In addition to facing Division I teams from YSU and Robert Morris University, the Gators were one of six PAC members to try out the Gorby Family Championship Cross Country Course, the home of the 2026 conference championships on October 31. Allegheny placed third – the best of the PAC teams – and earned a head-to-head tiebreaker over Geneva College.

Allegheny's point total was boosted by a top-25 finish from Shyann Rulander (Warren, Pa./Warren). The senior crossed the finish line in 24th place with a time of 24:43.99. Rulander was the second-best D-III runner and the second-fastest PAC athlete. Sophomore Gabriella Palmer (Ligonier, Pa./Ligonier Valley) finished 11 seconds after her teammate in 27th place at 25:54.03, making her the third-best PAC runner in the race.
