MORGANTOWN, W.Va. --
The Allegheny College men's track and field team posted its best finish at an outdoor conference championship in 16 years on Friday with a runner-up effort at the 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Championships.

The Gators entered the second day of the meet in second place and maintained their position throughout the day. With 117.5 total points, Allegheny logged its best team finish at an outdoor conference meet since placing second at the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships. Grove City College captured this year's title with 157 points, while Washington and Jefferson College was third with 102.

Leading the way once again was Allegheny's sensational senior, Aaron Moon (Springfield, Va./Lake Braddock). After winning the triple jump yesterday, Moon won the 110-meter hurdles and long jump on Friday. His time of 15.58 seconds in the hurdles was a new personal record, and his 6.98-meter mark in the long jump was 12 centimeters ahead of Westminster College's Jake Mull in second place. Moon also placed second in the 400-meter hurdles (57.23 seconds), fifth in the 100-meter dash (11.34 seconds), sixth in the high jump (1.81 meters), and helped Allegheny's 4x100-meter relay team place fifth (42.77 seconds).

After participating in eight different events, earning a trio of gold medals, and accounting for 54 of Allegheny's 117.5 points, Moon was rewarded by the PAC with all three major awards: Track Athlete of the Year, Field Athlete of the Year, and Outdoor Track and Field MVP. One of the most accomplished student-athletes in program history, Moon is the only PAC athlete to receive both major awards since the conference separated its MVPs for track and field in 2008 and the only athlete to earn all three awards since the overall Track and Field MVP was added in 2011.

Second-year sprinter Austin Stewart (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) also had a busy day on the track. Stewart was second in the 400-meter dash with a PR time of 48.78 seconds and fifth in the 200-meter dash at 22.65 seconds. He ran the final leg of the Gators' third-place 4x400-meter relay team with Jordan Anderson (Attica, N.Y./Attica), Zack Wyse (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin), and Cole Jooste (Upper Saint Clair, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) and opened for the fifth-place 4x100-meter relay quartet along with Moon, Otis Thomas (Solon, Ohio/Solon), and Dre'on Johnson (Buffalo, N.Y./South Park).
