MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny College men's track and field team hosted its annual Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational at the Robertson Athletic Complex on Friday.

The 2026 Gator Invite featured athletes from 13 teams, including several Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opponents, nearby Division II programs such as PennWest Edinboro and Slippery Rock University, and D-I teams from Duquesne University and Mercyhurst University.

Tyler Biss (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) (4:05.73) and Jordan Anderson (Attica, N.Y./Attica) logged the best individual finishes on the track for the Gators. Biss finished third in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:05.73. Anderson also had a third-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.84 seconds.

The Gators finished strong in the 200-meter dash. Junior Austin Stewart (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) placed fourth in 22.45 seconds. Junior Sha'Mar Nguyen (Converse, Texas/Judson) was not far off, taking sixth in 22.61 seconds. VJ Praylor (Rochester, N.Y./Vertus Charter) and Dre'on Johnson (Buffalo, N.Y./South Park) added top-10 finishes in seventh and eighth, respectively.

The 4x100-meter team of Johnson, Carter Betz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brentwood), Nguyen, and Stewart was fourth with a time of 42.14, an All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) qualifier. Three of the four teams in the 4x400-meter relay were from Allegheny, and the Gators' "A" squad beat Washington and Jefferson College by 0.80 seconds.

In the field events, a pair of Gator sophomores posted third-place finishes. Cozmo Gallegos (Chino, Calif./Chino) was third in the long jump with a leap of 6.63 meters. Gallegos also came in seventh in the triple jump at 13.09 meters.

Of the four throws, Andre Anderson (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) turned in his best performance in the hammer. Anderson set a personal record and registered a third-place finish with a toss of 49.02 meters.
