*Update: Following a protest filed at the end of Thursday night's events, Allegheny's Chloe Bonson was disqualified from the 10,000-meter race for wearing illegal training shoes. The ruling was announced on during the second day of competition on Friday, and the 10,000-meter championship was then awarded to the runner-up, Waynesburg University's Grace Tanksley. As a result, the Gators scored 29 team points on Thursday, third behind Grove City (58) and Westminster (30).

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The Allegheny College women's track and field team kicked off the 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Championships on a rain-soaked Thursday at West Virginia University's Track and Field Complex at Mylan Park.

The Gators also logged one runner-up performance and a pair of third-place finishes on Thursday. Sophomore Corinne Inkley (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central) was one of four pole vaulters with a mark of 3.32 meters, but she earned the silver medal as the only athlete to clear that height on her first try without any misses on the previous heights.

First-year Evie Ellenberger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) added more than half a meter to her previous personal record en route to third place in the triple jump. Ellenberger, who reached 10.41 meters two weeks ago at Slippery Rock University's John Papa Invitational, measured no worse than 10.82 meters on four of her six attempts. Her best jump was her fourth, a mark of 10.99 meters, just two centimeters shy of second place.

Senior Marrin Crist (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) recorded a PR in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and finished third in the event for the second year in a row. Crist reached the finish line in 11:12.28, as she slashed 3.35 seconds off her time from the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on March 29.

Chloe Bonson (Penn Township, Pa./Penn-Trafford), who qualified for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in the fall and won the 5,000-meter race during the PAC Indoor Championships, added another conference title to her resume on Thursday. Despite a significant delay due to multiple rain stoppages and more precipitation during the race, Bonson finished ahead of the pack in the 10,000-meter run with a new personal record of 38:58.64 seconds. Her time was nearly four full minutes quicker than last year's PAC championship, during which she finished ninth in 42:49.39.

Rain prevented the top nine javelin throwers from completing their championship rounds on Thursday. Two Gators, Elizabeth Lubold (Indiana, Pa./Indiana Area) and Angelee Bawek (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills), rank among the qualifiers in second and fourth place, respectively. Lubold, whose best mark measured 38.11 meters, trails Katie Kovalchick of Washington and Jefferson College by just 88 centimeters.
