MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The Allegheny College women's track and field team opened the first day of the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Championships on Thursday at Mylan Park with a trio of second-place performances.
The indoor championship MVP,
Evie Ellenberger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair), earned two of the team's three second-place finishes. In the 100-meter dash prelims, Ellenberger qualified for Friday's finals as the second-best sprinter at 12.54 seconds. Teammates
Aubryanna Snyder (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) and
Mariah Helvy-Bruce (Braddock, Pa./Woodland Hills) also punched their tickets to the finals with a top-eight performance.
In the triple jump, Ellenberger and Snyder placed second and fourth, respectively. In the first of three championship jumps, Ellenberger reached 10.68 meters, good enough for the silver medal behind Grove City College's Lucy Gyergyo (11.00 meters). Snyder earned five points toward the team standings in fourth at 10.61 meters.
For a second consecutive year, Allegheny junior
Corinne Inkley (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central) was second in the pole vault at the PAC Outdoor Championships. Inkley and Grove City's Hannah Herrmann both jumped over the 3.40-meter bar on their first attempt, but the former earned second place after needing only one try to clear the previous height, while Herrmann needed two.
In the team standings, the Gators rank fourth with 27 points, trailing Geneva College (41), Westminster College (39), and Washington and Jefferson College (34). Allegheny is five points ahead of both Hiram College and Waynesburg University, who are tied with 22 points.
