MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Jason Falvo, Allegheny College's head cross country and track and field coach, is pleased to announce that Jeremiah Blackmore has joined his staff on a permanent basis ahead of the 2026-27 academic year.

Since arriving at Allegheny in February, Blackmore has been an integral member of the track and field team as an interim coach, working primarily with the team's jumpers.

At the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Indoor Championships, three Allegheny women placed in the top four in the long jump, while two finished among the top four in the triple jump. During the outdoor championships, Evie Ellenberger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) and Corinne Inkley (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central) once again finished one-two in the long jump, and Ellenberger and Aubryanna Snyder (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) added top-five finishes in the triple jump. Blackmore also helped mentor Ellenberger to a pair of All-America awards with a fifth-place performance at the indoor national championships and a sixth-place effort outdoors.

Blackmore began his coaching career at Thiel College, where he served as an assistant coach for the 2025 cross country season. 

As a student-athlete, Blackmore spent three seasons at Division II West Liberty University before transferring to Division I Kent State University. He was part of WLU's 2023 Mountain East Conference (MEC) Indoor Championship in his final year with the Hilltoppers. At Kent State, Blackmore was named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) Teams during both the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2025.

Blackmore graduated from Kent State in May 2025 with a bachelor's degree in professional studies and a minor in coaching.
