USTFCCCA Release
NEW ORLEANS -- The Allegheny College women's track and field team received two All-Great Lakes Region nods from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2026 outdoor season.
In order to qualify for All-Region honors from the USTFCCA, athletes must finish among the top eight in their event in their respective region.
In the long jump, sophomore standout
Evie Ellenberger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) ranked second in the Great Lakes. An indoor All-American and the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) outdoor long jump champion, Ellenberger's top mark this spring measured 5.88 meters. That helped her win the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) title while breaking her own outdoor team record for a fourth consecutive week. Ellenberger trails only Chloe Hein of Centre College – the top-ranked long jumper in the nation – in the Great Lakes standings.
Senior
Elizabeth Lubold (Indiana, Pa./Indiana Area) made history as the first Allegheny women's track and field athlete to earn All-Region awards in the same event in each of her four seasons since the USTFCCCA began the awards program in 2015-16. Like Ellenberger, Lubold finished second in the Great Lakes in the javelin this spring. Her best throw traveled 39.67 meters en route to first place at Baldwin Wallace University's Harrison Dillard Twilight on May 7. Since her freshman season in 2023, Lubold has ranked no worse than fifth among javelin throwers in the region.
