MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The Allegheny College women's track and field team won two events on Friday during the final day of the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Championships at West Virginia University's Mylan Park.
The PAC's Indoor MVP and Women's Track Athlete of the Year,
Evie Ellenberger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair), played a role in both Allegheny titles on Friday. The indoor long jump champion repeated by winning the outdoor event. Her third attempt cleared 5.72 meters, breaking her own team record from Allegheny's home meet, the 2026 Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational. That distance also ranks 22nd in the country, putting Ellenberger right on the cutoff for a spot in the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.
Ellenberger, who was also the runner-up in the triple jump, ran the last leg of Allegheny's 4x100-meter relay with
Mariah Helvy-Bruce (Braddock, Pa./Woodland Hills),
Aubryanna Snyder (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell), and
Renee Tetlow (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva). The Gators won the race in 48.64 seconds, an All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) qualifying time, and almost three-quarters of a second ahead of the runners-up from Geneva College. After the relay, Ellenberger, Snyder, and Helvy-Bruce each ran in the 100-meter dash finals, placing third, sixth, and eighth, respectively.
Helvy-Bruce competed in three other track events as part of a busy day for the first-year sprinter. She placed fourth in the 400-meter dash, seventh in the 200-meter dash, and helped the Gators come in fourth in the 4x400-meter relay. Her 100- and 400-meter times were both personal records.
A runner-up in the pole vault on Thursday, junior
Corinne Inkley (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central) received another silver medal during day two. Inkley, who was also the runner-up to Ellenberger in the indoor long jump, did so again during the outdoor championships. Her first mark was 5.17 meters, and she finished just two centimeters ahead of Lucy Gyergyo of Grove City College.
In the throwing events, junior
Angelee Bawek (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills) collected a pair of top-five finishes. Bawek's third attempt in the shot put reached 11.72 meters, good enough for third place. She also PR'd in the discus, coming in fifth at 37.62 meters.Â
