ADA, Ohio -- Two members of the Allegheny College men's track and field team participated in separate meets on Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8.
At Ohio Northern University's Polar Bear Final Qualifier,
Aaron Moon (Springfield, Va./Lake Braddock) competed in the heptathlon against Mason Arth from the University of Mount Union. Moon won the first five events. However, he failed to surpass 3.50 meters on the pole vault and did not finish the 1,000-meter race, resulting in a final score of 3,520 points. Moon also entered Saturday's long jump, but his mark of 6.82 meters was one centimeter shy of his heptathlon long jump.
Second-year pole vaulter
Grant Miller (Punxsutawney, Pa./Punxsutawney) was also in action this weekend. On Friday, Miller competed on the first day of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships at Ithaca College. He tied for 14th place after successfully clearing 4.31 meters, his second-best mark of the indoor season.
