Gators Card Strong Finishes at IUP

INDIANA, Pa. – The Allegheny men's track and field team opened the outdoor portion of their schedule Saturday (March 22) with several top finishes, including a school record long jump, at the IUP Ed Fry Invitational Saturday (March 22)
 
Aaron Moon (Springfield, Va./Lake Braddock) highlighted the day for the Gators as he broke the program record in the long jump. With a leap of 7.23 meters, Moon won the event by over a quarter of a meter, breaking his previous program best distance of 7.14 meters. That distance is also currently the second best distance in Division III for the outdoor season.
 
Grant Miller (Punxsutawney, Pa./Punxsutawney Area) finished second in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.05 meters.
 
Zack Wyse (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) finished sixth in a field of 34 runners in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:02.67.
 
Austin Stewart (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) ran a personal best time of 22.45 in the 200 meter dash to finish eighth.
