YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Junior distance extraordinaire
Chloe Bonson (Penn Township, Pa./Penn-Trafford) highlighted Allegheny College's efforts at the 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday at Youngstown State University.
Bonson captured Allegheny's only individual championship at this year's indoor meet but did so in style. The third-year runner set a new PAC and personal record in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 17:37.61. Not only did she beat the runner-up from Geneva College by 15 seconds, but Bonson also shaved a remarkable 2:37.49 off of her previous PR from the Westminster Invitational on April 13, 2024.
After kicking off the meet with gold in the 5,000-meter race, Bonson added two additional podium finishes. She was third in the 3,000-meter race with a time of 10:30.50 and sixth in the mile at 5:18.22.

Grove City College earned the championship with 148 points, followed by Westminster College with 120. However, the gap between third and fourth place was significant, as the Gators held a 58-point advantage over Chatham University (54).
