YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Senior standout
Aaron Moon (Springfield, Va./Lake Braddock) put on a dazzling display to guide the Allegheny College men's track and field team to a second-place finish at the 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Indoor Championships on Thursday at Youngstown State University.
Moon, who competed in seven different events and scored in six, received two of the conference's three major awards. For the second year in a row, he was crowned the PAC's Indoor Track and Field MVP. He took home additional honors as the best field athlete at the meet. Moon was responsible for 41 total points for the Gators, 18.5 more than the next closest athlete.
Although he had little time to rest between events, Moon set or tied five personal records. He broke his own program record for the best indoor long jump by one centimeter at 7.03 meters. On his last attempt in the triple jump, Moon reached 13.75 meters and beat the runner-up from Grove City College by nearly a foot.
The Springfield, Virginia, native re-broke another school record in the 60-meter hurdles. Despite finishing second, he was clocked at 8.56 seconds, fourth-hundredths of a second better than his time from Case Western Reserve University's Spartan Holiday Classic on December 2, 2023.

Second-year pole vaulter
Grant Miller (Punxsutawney, Pa./Punxsutawney Area) also earned gold at the PAC Indoor Championships. Miller and Reed Yost of Westminster College each cleared 4.10 and 4.25 meters on their first try. Both were also successful when the crossbar was bumped up to 4.40 meters, but Miller did so on his first attempt, while Yost needed two tries to hit the mark successfully.
As a team, Allegheny collected 112 points. The Blue and Gold trailed only the PAC champs from Grove City, who amassed 137 points. The second-place performance is the best for the men's indoor track and field team since the Gators were runners-up in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) in 2009.Â
