TRAFFORD, Pa. – Christopher Hoffman (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) of the Allegheny men's golf team was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week.
 
This marks his second time earning the honor this fall.
 
The Gators competed this past weekend at the Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic held at the Sinking Valley Country Club. Hoffman finished the 36-hole event tied for 21st in a field of 106 golfers. He shot a first-round score of 74 before finishing the second round with an 80 for a 154 two round score. As a team, the Gators finished in ninth out of 20 teams.
 
Allegheny is back in action October 13-14 as they compete at the PAC Fall Championships at the Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club.
