PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. -- The two-time defending champions from the Allegheny College men's golf team topped the Presidents' Athletic Conference's (PAC) pre-championship coaches' poll, as announced Friday by the conference office.
The Gators were predicted to win their third consecutive PAC crown with 81 points and nine first-place votes. Washington and Jefferson College, last year's runner-up, was picked second with 68 points and the last remaining first-place vote. The Gators defeated W&J by 33 strokes in the 2024-25 championship to capture their second straight title.
The 72-hole championship begins with two rounds on Monday, October 13, and Tuesday, October 14, at the Avalon Lakes Golf Course in Warren, Ohio. Scores from the fall half of the tournament will be combined with the spring portion to determine the PAC champion and All-PAC award winners.
In addition to the PAC's pre-championship coaches' poll, the conference released its list of golfers to watch. Representing Allegheny were senior
Dylan Kochis (Saint Augustine, Fla./B. Reed Henderson (Pa.)) and junior
Connor Bell (Montrose, Colo./Montrose). Last season, Kochis was named an All-PAC Honorable Mention after tying for 12th place, while Bell was included on the All-PAC Second Team with a seven-place finish. Both golfers received PAC Player of the Week honors during the first six weeks of the fall season.
