MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny College women's cross country team had eight of top 10 finishers en route to a victory at the 2024 Allegheny Classic, hosted by the Gators at the Robertson Athletic Complex on Saturday morning.

Every Gator finished inside the top 20, and the Blue and Gold were one fifth-place finish shy of a perfect score. Allegheny scored 16 points to win the team portion of the race ahead of second-place Hiram College (49) and third-place Chatham University (87).

Individually, the top four runners and eight of the top 10 were Gators. Junior Chloe Bonson (Penn Township, Pa./Penn-Trafford) led from start to finish, completing the three-mile race in 18:28. Bonson was 11 seconds ahead of the runner-up, Marrin Crist (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area), who was timed at 18:39. Nelly Stafford (Middletown, Md./Middletown) placed third with a sub-19 minute time.

Joining Bonson, Crist, and Stafford in the top 10 were teammates Shyann Rulander (Warren, Pa./Warren), Mazzie Standish (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny), Renee Tetlow (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva), Samantha Oakes (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads), and Sophia Shiroff (Denver, Colo./Denver East).
