TRAFFORD, Pa. -- For the third week in a row, the Allegheny College women's tennis program has been recognized by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC).
Julia Müsseler (Munich, Germany/Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium) was named the PAC Newcomer of the Week on Tuesday after an undefeated week against Saint Vincent College, Penn State Behrend, and the University of Mount Union.
Across all three matches, Müsseler was 5-0 with three doubles wins and a pair of singles victories. She played two of her three doubles matches at the No. 1 position in the lineup, including Allegheny's 6-1 PAC opening win over the Bearcats. She was a double winner against both Saint Vincent and Mount Union, with both singles triumphs coming from the No. 2 spot.
So far this season, Müsseler owns an 8-3 overall record and is unbeaten in her last six matches.
Allegheny kicks off a busy week of PAC matches on Wednesday, September 18, at 4:30 p.m. with a home bout against Thiel College.
