Full PAC Release

TRAFFORD, Pa. – Carter Hassenplug (North East, Pa./North East) and Connor Bell (Montrose, Colo./Montrose) swept the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) weekly men's golf honors, announced by the conference Tuesday (April 2).
 
Hassenplug was named the Player of the Week while Bell was named the Newcomer of the Week as the pair helped Allegheny place second at the Pennsylvania Classic.
 
For Hassenplug, this marks his third weekly honor of the year. At the event, he finished third in the field of 100 golfers. After a first round score of 70, he shot a 73 in round two for an even score of 143, one stroke off the lead. He totaled five birdies and an eagle.
 
Bell earned his first Newcomer of the Week honor. He finished the Pennsylvania Classic in 11th place, shooting a 76 in round one before shaving off three strokes for a 73 in round two. Bell had 16 pars and a birdie in the second round.
 
The Gators are back in action this weekend at The Hershey Cup.
