Women's Lacrosse Releases Schedule for 30th Anniversary Season

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny College women's lacrosse team has released its 17-game schedule for the upcoming 2024 campaign, which begins with a home contest at the Robertson Athletic Complex for the first time since 2018.

The 2024 opener is one of eight games the Gators are set to host at Robertson. Road games will bring Allegheny to three states this spring: Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Allegheny's first matchup of the year will be held on Saturday, February 24, with a non-conference meeting against Ohio Wesleyan University. The Gators and Battling Bishops are scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start at Frank B. Fuhrer Field.

Following contests at Baldwin Wallace University (2/28) and a home against Oberlin College (3/2), the Blue and Gold will travel to Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, on Tuesday, March 5. The spring break road trip also features a game at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, the following day.

One of the biggest challenges of the non-conference slate takes place on Friday, March 15, in Columbus, Ohio, when the Gators travel to Capital University. The Comets recently earned their first-ever national ranking as the No. 19 team in USA Lacrosse Division III Top 20.

Two weeks later, the most important game of the season will pit Allegheny against the defending Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) champions from Washington and Jefferson College. The Gators host the Presidents on Saturday, March 30, at 12:00 p.m. in a rematch of the tournament title game.

Another conference matchup to keep an eye on is on Saturday, April 20, when Allegheny visits Grove City College. The Wolverines were PAC semifinalists in 2023 and gave W&J a run for its money in the PAC Championship Tournament.

Allegheny's 30th anniversary season concludes on Saturday, April 27, with a home contest against Franciscan University at 3:00 p.m.
