Women’s Lacrosse Picks Up PAC Road Win at Geneva

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. - The Allegheny women's lacrosse team picked up a 19-5 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win on the road at Geneva Wednesday (April 22).

The Gators got on the board in the opening minute as Erin Lowthert (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) scored off an assist by Aubrey Carion (Pittsburgh, Pa./Kiski Area). The Golden Tornadoes scored the next two goals before Kendall Cox (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein) tied it back up on an unassisted goal. Lowthert's second tally of the game, this time on a free-position, put the Gators back in front minutes later. The Gators continued to roll as Lowthert assisted a Cox goal before reaching a hat trick on a tally assisted by Caroline Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty). After Geneva ended the Allegheny run, Lowthert scored her fourth goal of the frame, assisted by Cox. Smith, assisted by Cox, and Carion rounded out scoring for the period as Allegheny led 8-3 heading into the second.

Allegheny added four goals in the second while holding Geneva off the board. Carion, Smith, Lowthert and Maddie Krieger (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) all found the back of the net while Brooklyn Harrison (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) added an assist.

In the third quarter, the Gators outpaced the Golden Tornadoes 5-2. Carion and Smith both found the back of the net twice while assisting on a goal. Lowthert also scored in the frame as the Gators led 17-5 entering the fourth.

In the final quarter, Olivia Savage (Meadville, Pa./Meadville Area) scored a pair of goals, with one assisted by Cox, as the Gators wrapped up the conference win.
