MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's lacrosse team picked up a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) victory at home against Hiram, 18-5, Wednesday (April 15).
The Terriers scored first, but
Caroline Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty) quickly matched the Hiram tally with an unassisted goal.
Kendall Cox (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein) scored another unassisted goal a minute later as the Gators took a 2-1 lead.
Aubrey Carion (Pittsburgh, Pa./Kiski Area) kept the Gators rolling with an unassisted tally. Cox's second goal of the quarter made it 4-1. The Terriers scored the final goal of the first, but Allegheny had a two-goal lead going into the second.
Smith tallied her second goal of the afternoon to start the second. Carion notched her second goal of the contest minutes later, extending the lead to 6-2. A minute later, Cox completed her hat trick, converting a free position attempt. After the Terriers broke up the Gator run,
Duchess Jackson (Washington, D.C/National Cathedral School) scored her first collegiate goal.
Erin Lowthert (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) made it 9-3 off a free position goal. She added a second goal in the frame off an assist by Cox as the Gators took a 10-3 lead into the locker room.
Smith became the second Gator to complete a hat trick as she scored off a free position a little more than a minute into the third. Carion promptly scored her third goal, assisted by Cox, to make it 12-3. After a Hiram goal, Jackson answered with her second. Lowthert gave the Gators a 10 goal lead, off an assist by Cox, to become the third Gator with three goals. Smith, assisted by Carion, scored the next goal for the Gators. Jackson also completed a hat trick late in the quarter as the Gators led 16-4 heading into the fourth.
The Gators tacked on two more goals in the fourth, with Hiram scoring one. Carion and Lowthert scored in the frame, with Cox adding an assist, as the Gators picked up the PAC win.

- Ella Ashton (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) and Emma Foley (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) split time in net. Ashton made a stop in the first half while Foley made three saves in the second.
