Gators Defeat Tomcats in Home Finale

MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's lacrosse team hosted Thiel in their final home game of the 2026 season Monday (April 20), defeating the Tomcats 18-2.
 
In the opening 15 minutes, the Gators outpaced the Tomcats 8-1. Erin Lowthert (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) found the back of the net three times in the frame while Kendall Cox (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein) had two goals and two assists. Caroline Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty) had a goal and an assist while Aubrey Carion (Pittsburgh, Pa./Kiski Area) and Duchess Jackson (Washington, D.C/National Cathedral School) also scored and Olivia Savage (Meadville, Pa./Meadville Area) assisted.
 
The Gators increased their lead to 10-1 with a pair of goals in the second. Smith scored her second goal on a free-position shot while Cox assisted Lowthert's fourth tally.
 
Carion completed her hat trick with the first two goals of the second half. Smith also struck twice in the quarter. Cox assisted on three of the goals and Lowthert on the other.
 
The final quarter saw the Gators outscore the Tomcats 4-1. Lowthert scored three more times while Smith recorded the other. Cox added two assists while Jackson assisted on another.
 
Inside the Box
  • Cox finished with a career-high nine points on two goals and seven assists. She also had three groundballs and caused two turnovers.
  • Lowthert also tallied a career-high with eight points on seven goals and an assist. Additionally, she had nine draw controls, four groundballs and two caused turnovers.
  • Smith had a career-high five goals to go with an assist, five draw controls, three groundballs and three caused turnovers.
  • Carion finished with three goals and an assist to go with four groundballs and two draw controls.
  • Jackson had a goal, an assist and two groundballs.
  • Savage assisted on a goal.
  • Sarah Santicola (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) registered season-highs with five caused turnovers and four groundballs.
  • Maddie Krieger (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) and Nadya Shenk (Orbisonia, Pa./Southern Huntingdon County) also had career-highs with four and three groundballs, respectively.
  • Ella Ashton (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) and Emma Foley (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) split time in net, each making a save.

  • Allegheny is now 12-1 all-time against Thiel.
  • Jackson tallied her first career assist.
  • Cox's seven assists is tied for fifth most in a game for a Gator.
