USTFCCCA Track & Field Academic Awards
NEW ORLEANS -- The Allegheny College track and field teams earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team accolades while
Jacob Boord (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield),
Stephen Cullinan (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air),
Megan Aaron (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) and
Mihaela Toader (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) earned individual accolades.

The cumulative team grade-point average of all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility must be at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester to be eligible for the All-Academic Team award.

The Allegheny women earned a 3.54 GPA, while the men had a 3.36 GPA.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards: Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship; or finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

Boord earned All-American honors in the javelin at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships. During the season, he set a new program record in the event with a toss of 64.76 meters at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Classic. Boord also won the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship in the event, his third conference crown. He earned USTFCCCA All-Region and CSC Academic All-District honors this season.
Cullinan won a pair of PAC titles in the pole vault this past season. He captured the indoor title with a clearance of 4.10 meters and improved his mark to 4.16 meters to win the outdoor championship. He also finished in the top 25 nationally in the decathlon, breaking the school record with 6,331 points. Cullinan earned USTFCCCA All-Region and CSC Academic All-District honors.

Aaron started the year by earning All-PAC honors after placing eighth at the cross country championships. At the indoor meet, she earned All-PAC honors in the 5,000-meter run with a third-place finish while also taking fourth in the 3,000-meter run. Aaron then captured the PAC title in the 10,000-meter run during the outdoor championships and followed up with another third-place effort in the 5,000-meter race. Aaron earned a CSC Academic All-District award as well.
Toader broke several school records this season as she qualified for the 400-meter dash at the Division III Championships. She finished 17th overall with a time of 57.12 at nationals. Toader swept the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) 200- and 400-meter titles during the indoor and outdoor competitions while leading the Gators to both team championships. Toader also collected a total of four All-Region awards. Recently, she was nominated for the prestigous NCAA Woman of the Year award.
