NCAC Release
CLEVELAND -- The Allegheny College field hockey team placed a dozen student-athletes on the 2022-23 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.
To be honored, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore on an active roster in a sport sponsored by the conference and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. The Academic Honor Roll was first awarded after the 2012-13 academic year. In total, the NCAC recognized 1,183 student-athletes from nine full-time institutions and two affiliate members.
Allegheny's 12 honorees mark a new program record, exceeding the 11 award winners from the 2021-22 academic. Eleven Gators made the list for a second consecutive year, and six seniors -
Heather Amancio (San Diego, Calif./Patrick Henry),
Emma Anderson (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton),
Kelsey Anderson (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton),
Hannah Sharp (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington),
Hanah Simmons (Meadville, Pa./Meadville), and
Becca Winton (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) - were lauded for a third time.
