MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Four from the Allegheny College volleyball team were placed on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognizing their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Jacy Diaz (Barranquitas, Puerto Rico/Gallatin (Tenn.)), Izzy Gray (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek), Alejandra Fernandez (Caguas, Puerto Rico/Commonwealth Parkville), and Emma Chambers (Stoutsville, Ohio/Amanda Clearcreek) each earned CSC Academic All-District honors. Chambers, a senior outside hitter, is a repeat winner, having also been selected in 2022.

To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, and have played in at least 90 percent or started in 66 percent of the team's sets throughout the season.

Academic All-District winners advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early January.
