NCAC Release
CLEVELAND -- Recent Allegheny College graduate
Hallie Reiger '23 (Oklahoma City, Okla./Casady) was lauded by the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) for her outstanding career with a spot on the NCAC's 40th Anniversary Field Hockey All-Decade Team.
The 40th Anniversary All-Decade Team includes student-athletes who competed in the NCAC between the 2013-14 and 2022-23 seasons. Previous Player of the Year honorees or those who earned a minimum of three All-NCAC First-Team nods during that span, were recognized.
In field hockey, the conference recognized 21 student-athletes for their outstanding accomplishments on the field.
Reiger was an All-NCAC selection in each of Allegheny's first three varsity seasons in 2019, 2021, and 2022. As a senior, she received an All-NCAC First Team bid and was crowned the Defensive Player of the Week. On two occasions in 2022, she was named the NCAC Athlete of the Week, and she became the first Gator in program history to earn a national weekly award from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).
In 50 games, Reiger posted a 2.00 goals-against average with a .765 save percentage and a team-record 254 career saves. She won 13 games in her final season, which propelled the Blue and Gold to their first-ever NCAC postseason berth.
