MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Ben Mourer '07, Allegheny College's head cross country and track and field coach, is pleased to introduce assistant coaches
Bri Ratliff and
Challen Jackson for the upcoming 2022-23 academic year.
Ratliff will work closely with the cross country and distance track runners, while Jackson primarily assists Allegheny's sprinters and jumpers.
A native Texan, Ratliff came to the Keystone State after a successful career as a student-athlete and assistant coach at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She was a three-time All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) honoree and two-time All-Region selection. Ratliff qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships during her sophomore and junior seasons.
After graduating with a psychology degree, Ratliff switched to a coaching role with the Tigers. She helped Trinity win the 2020-21 women's cross country title and mentored a pair of All-Region runners last fall.
In addition to her USA Track & Field Level I coaching certification, Ratliff received a master's in Kinesiology from Texas A&M-San Antonio in May.
Jackson most recently spent two years as a cross country and track and field assistant at her alma mater, North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. As a Cardinal, she was a two-sport student-athlete, competing in both track and field and women's basketball. She was part of North Central's 2019 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) outdoor championship team.
As a coach, Jackson helped the North Central women's track and field program hoist the CCIW indoor and outdoor titles during the 2021-22 campaign. The Cardinals earned All-America honors in four events and had one indoor national champion in the 60-meter hurdles.
A two-time graduate of North Central, Jackson has a bachelor's in exercise science and a master's in sports leadership.
