MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny College men's and women's track and field programs, under the guidance of first-year head coach
Ben Mourer '07, have announced the indoor portion of the 2022-23 season schedule.
The Gators, who are in their first season as members of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) after a successful run in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), have eight meets on this year's indoor schedule.
Action begins on Friday, December 2, when Allegheny travels to Youngstown, Ohio, to participate in the Youngstown State University Icebreaker. The weekend continues with the two-day Green and Red Multi, hosted by Slippery Rock University and Edinboro University. SRU will host the first half of the meet on Saturday, December 3, and competition concludes at Edinboro on Sunday, December 4.
After this weekend, the Gators will enjoy a lengthy holiday break. Allegheny returns from its hiatus on Saturday, January 21, at the College of Wooster's Fighting Scots Invitational.Â
The Gators visit Youngstown for a second time the following weekend on Saturday, January 28, for the Mid-Major Invitational. They'll head back to YSU's Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) again on Thursday, February 23, for the 2022-23 PAC Indoor Championships.
The 2022-23 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama, on Friday, March 10, and Saturday, March 11.
Mourer, who has received numerous accolades as head coach of Allegheny's men's and women's cross country teams, was elevated to head track and field coach in June. The AC alumnus previously served as an assistant track and field coach since returning to his alma mater in December of 2015.
