LATROBE, Pa. -- At the 2022 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, eight Allegheny College runners received All-PAC honors and head coach Ben Mourer '07 was voted the Coach of the Year.

The top seven finishers at the PAC Championship race receive All-PAC First Team recognition, while runners finishing eighth through 14th earn All-PAC Second Team honors. Runners finishing 15th through 21st receive All-PAC Honorable Mention recognition.

After leading the championship-winning Gators in fourth and fifth place, respectively, sophomore Mazzie Standish (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) and senior Leuca Hanish (Baden, Pa./Ambridge) were both named to the All-PAC First Team.

Megan Aaron (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley), Nelly Stafford (Middletown, Md./Middletown), and Sarah Maue (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua Area) each received All-PAC Second Team honors. Additionally, Celia Cocca (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora), Eva Kerr (Fredericksburg, Va./James Monroe), and Madeline Allen (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) were tabbed Honorable Mentions. Allen was also included on the PAC Sportsmanship Team. The PAC Sportsmanship Teams were established to recognize student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior, and are an ongoing effort to recognize and encourage positive sportsmanship among all PAC teams and student-athletes.

After leading Allegheny to its first-ever PAC title and the 16 conference championship in the program's decorated history, Mourer earned the 2022 Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year award. It's the fourth time Mourer has been crowned a Coach of the Year winner for his efforts with the women's program after earning three awards in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC).
