INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Allegheny women's cross country team earned an at-large berth to 2021 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.

This marks the sixth straight and 18th overall appearance as a team for the Gators in the national championships.

Allegheny is coming off the heels of a sixth-place finish at the Great Lakes Regional this past weekend and a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) title two weeks prior. At the regional championship,
Megan Aaron (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) and
Sarah Maue (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua Area) earned All-Region accolades after finishing seventh and 19th, respectively.

Aaron was crowned the NCAC Runner of the Year after capturing the individual crown at the NCAC Championship.Â
Emma Wall (Douglas, Mass./Douglas) was named the NCAC Newcomer of the Year after a runner-up performance.Â
Molly Tarvin (New Tripoli, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) joined Aaron and Wall in earning All-NCAC First Team honors with a fifth-place finish. Overall, seven runners earned All-NCAC honors, helping head coach
Ben Mourer earn NCAC Coach of the Year accolades.

The Division III Championships will be held in Louisville, Ky. Nov. 20. The Gators are one of 32 teams competing in the field.Â
