BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Allegheny women's cross country team finished ninth out of 44 teams at the 2019 Paul Short Run 6k, hosted by Lehigh Saturday (Oct. 5).

The Gators tallied a team score of 357.

Junior
Mica Hanish (Baden, Pa./Ambridge) paced the Gators as she finished fifth in the 370-runner field.   Hanish crossed the finish line with a time of 21:19.3, averaging a pace of 3:33.2 per kilometer. The finish was 41 spots higher than her 2018 performance at the event.

Molly Tarvin (New Tripoli, Pa./Northwest Lehigh) had the second highest finish for the Gators, placing 70
th with a time of 22:23.7. Her average kilometer time was 3:43.9.Â

Megan Aaron (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) was not far behind Tarvin as she crossed the finish line at 22:29.6 (3:44.9 per km) to finish in 82nd place.Â
Sarah Maue (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua Area) was the fourth Gator to finish in the top-100 as she placed 91
st with a time of 22:36.6 (3:46.1 per km).
Hailey Stupay (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights) rounded out the top-five runners for the Gators, finishing 117
th with a time of 22:48.9 (3:48.1 per km).

Jacelyn Alberts (West Salem, Ohio/Northwestern) took 122
nd while
Sarah Lucas (Charleroi, Pa./Ringgold) finished 138
th to round out the Gators' top seven.

Stony Brook won the overall team title with a score of 127. SUNY Geneseo's Genny Corcoran won the individual title with a time of 20:42.6

The Gators return to action in two weeks (Oct. 19) when they compete at the Gettysburg Invitational.Â
