THIS WEEK: On Homecoming at Allegheny, the Gators will welcome Oberlin to Frank B. Fuhrer Field, and both squads will be looking for their first win of the 2016 campaign. The Gators dropped to 0-4 last week with a 31-7 loss at Kenyon. Allegheny started strong, with their first play from scrimmage an 85-yard touchdown pass from
Logan Lee to
Alex Victor, but the Gators couldn't sustain the momentum, as the Lords limited them to just 90 yards of total offense after the touchdown strike. Allegheny will also be seeking their first win over Oberlin since the 2012 season, most recently suffereing a 48-9 defeat at Oberlin on Oct. 3 last year.
The Oberlin Yeomen fell to 0-4 overall, and 0-3 in the NCAC, with a 29-16 home loss to Ohio Wesleyan under the lights last Saturday night. Oberlin led 16-14 midway through the third quarter, only to see the Battling Bishops score the game's final two scores for the comeback win. Freshman quarterback Zach Taylor completed 20 passes for 174 yards, and also led the Yeomen ground game with 54 rushing yards. Defensively, lineback Bennett Jackson made five tackles, and scored on a 55-yard interception return.

THE GENERAL LEE
Allegheny sophomore quarterback
Logan Lee enters this week tied for the North Coast Athletic Conference lead with seven touchdown passes, while his three interceptions are tied for the second-fewest among starting singal callers in the conference. Additionally, Lee has completed the two longest passes by an NCAC quarterback this season, with a 91-yard touchdown pass to
Alec Hutchin in week two at Wooster, and an 85-yard scoring strike to
Alex Victor on the Gators' first play from scrimmate last week at Kenyon. They rank as the third and fourth longest passes in Allegheny program history.
FABULOUS FROSH
After hauling in an 85-yard TD pass from
Logan Lee last week at Kenyon, freshman all-purpose back
Alex Victor ranks second in the NCAC with five total touchdowns, including four receiving and one rushing. Victor also ranks eighth in the league in both receptions (17) and receiving yards (242), while his 94 punt return yards are the second-most in the conference, accumulated on just three returns. His 53-yard punt return last week at Kenyon is the second-best of the season by an NCAC player.
AT A LOSS
A pair of Gator defenders enter the weekend ranked among conference leaders in tackles for loss. Sophomore defensive end
Marcus Davenport has tallied 5.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage, resulting in a loss of 20 total yards, to rank seventh in the conference, one spot ahead of junior linebacker
Freddy Ruiz, who has 5.0 TFLs for 13 yards. In all, 15 different Gators have at least 1.0 TFL this season, and six with at least 2.0, with Davenport and Ruiz joined by a trio of freshmen in linebackers
Matt Ledesma (2.5) and
Jahnaaman Boone (2.0) and defensive back
David Perez (2.0), and junior linebacker
Max Sessions (2.0).
SACKMASTER
Last week at Kenyon, Gator freshman linebacker
Matt Ledesma recorded five tackles, including a pair of quarterback sacks that resulted in a loss of 11 yards. It marked just the third time an Allegheny defender recorded at least 2.0 sacks in seven seasons. On October 24 of last season, then-senior defensive end
Chris Patrick recorded two sacks against Denison, while before that, the last multi-sack game for a Gator was on Nov. 14, 2009 at Ohio Wesleyan, when Nick Silva recorded 3.5 sacks.
THE RETURN OF WILSON
Despite missing last week's contest at Kenyon, junior
Jake Wilson enters the Oberlin contest as the NCAC's leader in all-purpose yards (189.3/gm) and kick return average (27.0 yds), while he leads all of NCAA Division III in total kick return yards with 527. Wilson owns the top two single-game kick return efforts in program history, amassing 223 yards in this year's season-opener against Thiel, and 209 yards a week later at Wooster, while his 136 yards at Wabash in week three rank fourth.
GLOBAL GATORS
Fourteen different states are represented on the Gators' 2016 roster, which is comprised of players from Pennsylvania (40), New York (20), Florida (13), Ohio (9), Maryland (7), New Jersey (8), California (3), Arizona (3), West Vrginia (3), Georgia (2), Maine (1), Tennessee (1), Massachusetts (1), and Michigan (1).

ALLEGHENY VS. OBERLIN
THE SERIES: This week marks the 50th all-time meeting on the gridiron between the Gators and the Yeomen, with Allegheny holding a 26-22-1 edge in the series. The Yeomen have owned the play as of late, topping the Gators in each of the past three seasons, and four of the past five. This 4-1 run from Oberlin comes after Allegheny won 18 of 19 in the series, including a 14-game winning streak between 1986-99.
LAST MEETING:
Host Oberlin scored three touchdowns in the first 10 minutes of play and never looked back, defeating Allegheny 48-9 on Oct. 3 of last year.
Behind 506 yards passing by quarterback Lucas Poggiali, the Yeomen rolled up 690 yards of total offense and tallied 32 first downs, while limiting the Gator offense to 202 yards, and just 18 on the ground.
Oberlin's Robby Reinheimer made eight receptions for 228 yards and a touchdown, as Poggiali completed 27 of 36 passes for 506 yards and three touchdowns.

Logan Lee, as the senior receiver tallied his third 100-yard receiving game of the season, making six grabs for 117 yards.
Defensively, Allegheny's
Tristan Rhoades picked off his first career interception, returning it 43 yards, while the freshman safety added five tackles.
Wyatt Boyler made seven stops, and
