2017: Made the successful move to receiver after spending his first two seasons at safety... Emerged as explosive pass-catching threat... Totaled 41 catches for 759 yards and five touchdowns... Ranked fourth in the NCAC in yards per catch (18.5) and sixth in the conference in receiving yards... Had two or more catches in all 10 games... Big play threat, totaled five receptions of over 40 yards... Tallied five catches for 72 yards, while also adding one rush for 14 yards, in season opener at Thiel (8/31)... Posted season-highs of eight catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns, including a 65-yard score, vs. Denison (9/16)... Posted 100 yards for the second straight game on 9/23 at Ohio Wesleyan, hauling in seven receptions for 104 y ards... Caught two passes for 62 yards, including a 57-yard touchdown, in win over Hiram (9/30)... Broke the century mark for the third time in five weeks in win over Kenyon (10/21), making four grabs for 102 yards and a touchdown... Hauled in four passes for 78 yards and one touchdown in season finale at Oberlin (11/11).Â
2016: Full-time starter at safety... Led the Gators with 69 tackles... Made nine or more tackles in six different contests... Led both sides with 12 tackles in season-opener vs. Thiel (9/3)... Recorded career-high 17 tackles, including a solo TFL, while forcing a fumble and breaking up a pass, in week two at Wooster (9/10). The 17 tackles were the most in a game for a Gator in nine seasons... Tallied eight tackles, including a half TFL, at Kenyon (9/24)... Tallied nine tackles, 1.5 TFLs, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, and broke up a pass in win over Oberlin (10/1)... Finished with 14 tackles, including nine solos, at Denison (10/22)Â
2015: Bounced back from injury to start six games at corner during freshman campaign... Recorded 29 tackles and two interceptions... In first career appearance, finished with seven tackles and broke up a pass vs. Kenyon (9/26)... Tallied first career interception, with a 43-yard return, while recording four tackles at Oberlin (10/3)... Made six tackles, including five solos, vs. DePauw (10/17)... Made five tackles (four solo) vs. Denison (10/24)... Made four tackles and intercepted a pass at Ohio Wesleyan (11/7)Â
PERSONAL: Graduate of Karns City High School... Earned a total of seven letters between football and track... All-Conference, All-District, and Butler County ‘Sweet 16’ selection in football... Part of 4x100 relay squad that finished fourth at Pennsylvania State Track & Field Championships... Son of David and Autumn Rhoades... Biology major, with pre-med concentration.
