HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Allegheny College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Carleton College this morning in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Carleton entered the match ranked 12th regionally and swept all six singles matches and three doubles bouts.
Freshman
Heidi Mueller took her opponent Alana Danieu to three sets in fourth-flight singles action, ultimately falling 2-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-8). Senior
Andrea Brush dropped a 6-4, 6-3 match to Joyce Yu in the second flight.
Mueller teamed with junior
Michaela Thompson in second-flight doubles against the team of Danielle Vasiliev and Caitlin Shea, falling after a tough 8-3 battle.
Allegheny has tomorrow off before concluding its spring break trip at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 24 against St. Thomas (Minn.).
