LEGENDS RECOGNIZED: As part of Homecoming festivities at Allegheny this weekend, the school will induct its 36th class into the Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday morning. Two of the six members were former Gator football stars in 1991 graduates Dave LaCarte and John Marzka. The duo served as co-captains and played a pivotal role in Allegheny capturing the 1990 Division III national championship. LaCarte, a safety, was a three-time First Team All-NCAC honoree, earning Pizza Hut All-America honors in 1989 and Champion/CoSIDA All-America plaudits as a senior in 1990. He intercepted 14 passes for his career, second most in team history. Marzka, a center, was a two-time First Team All-NCAC pick and named All-America in 1990 by both CoSIDA and the Football Gazette. All six of the Allegheny Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized at halftime of Saturday's football game.
VETERAN LEADER: 2015 marks the 14th season on the sidelines for Allegheny head coach

A 1978 Allegheny graduate, Matlak starred on the gridiron at running back under Timer between 1974-77, earning three All-Presidents' Athletic Conference selections and being named the 1977 PAC Offensive Player of the Year before beginning his coaching career as an assistant under Timer in 1978.
