Women's Tennis Drops Decision To Case Western

CLEVELAND, Ohio
Deb Landau & Margarett Hodgkiss-Lilly teamed up to win at No. 3 doubles, while Janna Dickerson picked a singles win, but the Alleghen women's tennis team fell to Case Western Reserve 7-2 in non-conference action on Wednesday.

Erika Lim, Samantha Lewis and Emily Pham were double winners for the Spartans, who snapped a five-game losing streak with the win.

Lim and Pham joined forces to defeat Lauren Kristofco and Sara Longo, 8-2, at No. 1 doubles, while Lewis and Evers managed to win 8-5 over Elyse Schmitt and Dickerson at No. 2.

Lim then moved onto singles at the No. 2 spot and picked up the first win by a score of 6-1, 6-2 over Longo. It was at the No. 4 spot that Dickerson pulled out the three-set victory over Evers, 1-6, 6-3, 1-0.

The Gators return to action on this weekend at the Great Lakes Colleges Association Tournament. Allegheny faces Albion on Friday at 2 p.m. in Oberlin, Ohio.
