NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Allegheny College women's lacrosse team received multiple academic accolades from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for its success in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year.
 
As a team, the Gators were named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, an award given to programs that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.20 or higher. Allegheny was one of three teams from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and one of 357 programs across Divisions I, II, III, and the NAIA to earn the distinction this year. The Blue and Gold have received Academic Honor Squad recognition for 17 consecutive years, dating back to 2009.
 
In addition to the team award, four Gators were selected to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes juniors, seniors, and graduate students who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Seniors Kendall Cox (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein), Sarah Santicola (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) and Olivia Savage (Meadville, Pa./Meadville Area) and junior Maya Bloom (Pittsburgh, Pa./Winchester Thurston) were named to the Academic Honor Roll.
